Introduction on Those Who Are Eligible

- Supported : Nam-gu Welfare Center, Seonrin Welfare Center and Dalseong-gun Welfare Center
- Voluntary Service : In association with Nam-gu Welfare Center, Seonrin Welfare Center and Dalseong-gun Welfare Center, free meals are served or lunch boxes are delivered to the single elderly or the disabled.
- Supports :
  - o Nam-gu and Seonrin Welfare Center: Regular free meal service
  - o Dalseong-gun Welfare Center: Lunch boxes are delivered to 20 single seniors (5 times a week) and side dishes to 20 single seniors (once a week)
Introduction

Welfare centers in the Daegu region are visited once a week and free meals and lunch boxes are delivered to the single elderly and the disabled. In addition, cleaning, laundry and dining support are provided to ailing seniors.
- Supported : Dosshouse residents in downtown Daegu
- Voluntary Service : Dishwashing, cleaning and daily necessities are supported.
- Supports : Ramen, rice and underwear are regularly provided through Daegu Dosshouse Center.
Introduction

A dosshouse is a one-room house without basic amenities or facilities such as a kitchen and bathroom. It is usually offered for daily or monthly rental and is occupied by a single person. Unlike in Seoul or Daejeon where dosshouses are concentrated in a certain area, in the Daegu region, dosshouses are scattered throughout several areas. Mainly in Buk-gu (Chilseong-dong, Daehyeon-dong and Chimsan-dong), Seo-gu (Bisan-dong, Naedang-dong and Wondae-dong), Dong-gu (Sinam-dong and Sincheon-dong), Jung-gu (Dalseong-dong, Taepyeong-ro and Dongin-dong). Daegu Dosshouse Center supports such dosshouse residents and help them stand on their own feet. Love Community supports dosshouse residents through this center.
- Supported : Single parent families and families without parents
- Voluntary Service : For families without parents living in Dalseong-gun, school supplies and daily necessities are supported for emotional stability and outdoor activities are provided to help establishing a view of values.
Introduction

With a target to help providing emotional stability and establishing the right view of values, volunteers regularly holds outdoor activities which children like (movies, musicals, skating and amusement parks) once a week and engage with children, and they try to improve the sense of independence and positiveness of children by the ad hoc trend study and learning guidance.
- Supported : Hope Nursing Home (58, Myeongcheon-ro, Hwawon-eup, Dalseong-gun)
- Voluntary Service : Visits of once a month, nursing care and sanitary control (including bathing service) and dining support are provided.
- Supports : Prosthetic contributions and tissues are supported every month.
Introduction

The voluntary service activities are held in the 'Simon House', at Hope Nursing Home, where 70 seniors reside. As most of the elderly face difficulties in moving or are mentally disabled, they cannot bathe often and bathing service activities are mostly provided as a result.
- Supported : St. Joseph Rehabilitation Center (9, Eogok-ri, Seongsan-myeon, Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk, Korea)
- Voluntary Service : With dining support, bathing service and outdoor service, volunteers try to become companions to those who may be easily neglected due to illness.
- Supports : Daily necessities support and outdoor service every month
Introduction

St. Joseph Rehabilitation Center provides a living space for approximately 60 disabled persons (fortune bringers) between the ages of 20s to 50s. In this space, volunteers give helping hands to the disabled with bathing services and outdoor activity service as a means to bring happiness to them.
- Supported : Catholic Dementia Center (717-2 Nam-ri, Nongong-eup, Dalseong-gun)
- Voluntary Service : Dining support, cleaning, laundry and bathing service are provided once a month.
Introduction

The Catholic Dementia Center is located in the Dalseong Industrial Park and about 200 seniors suffering from dementia reside there. Volunteers provide dining support, cleaning, laundry and bathing services, share communication with seniors suffering from dementia and promote their treatment. An outdoor activity service is planned in the future.
- Supported : The single elderly in Dalseong-gun, Daegu and Gumi
- Voluntary Service : Once a month, daily necessities, conversation companion service and cleaning service are provided.
Introduction

Volunteers try to ease the lonesome feelings of the elderly. Not only through the support of simple goods, they act as conversation companions, assess difficulties and take actions including furniture repair. The contact network is arranged to cope with sudden accidents of the elderly.
